Alyson

Alyson is an 11 ½ year old 6th grader at
She tells me (and her father confirms) that she enjoys school and is a good student.
Alyson’s brother Zach was taking karate and she would just come to
watch but I’m sure my charm and wit simply got the best of her so she asked
her Dad if she could join as well. This was back in September
and she is still going strong hoping to earn her yellow belt in the coming months.
To attain this ranking Alyson will have to master her 40 basic movements
and Neptune Kata which I’m sure will be no problem for her.
Alyson is a good sparrer (just ask a couple of the students she has kicked in the stomach)
and I’m sure she will continue to improve as her techniques and timing becomes better.
Some of her other interests include theatrical arts (singing and acting),
soccer and fashion design and creative writing. From experience I can also tell you
that she draws very well and has creative some pretty cool pictures on a couple
of our broken boards. Her Dad, Todd, also attends classes when he is not busy with his study of Japanese Jujitsu and her brother Zach is an orange tip and is in the same class.
